The 19th of September 2009 will go down in the club's history as one of it's greatest achievements with both senior and reserve grades taking out the coveted 2009 Southern Football League's Division 2 premiership at Clayton Reserve against South Yarra Football Club. Congratulations to South Yarra. Massive effort coming from Division 3 last year and they played both games in good spirit. The holding aloft of the seniors cup by Coach John Bennett and Captain Brent Williams and the reserves cup by coach Brad Fehr and skipper Stephen Regnier will remain in our memory for years to come. All players who represented the club are to be commended on their efforts and having the will to win. We should not forget all those who did not play but whose contribution throughout the year gave us the opportunity to reach the pinnacle. Well done to all. We should also not forget the hard working president Damien Cody, Secretary Trevor Easey, Vice President Bill Di Blasio. Their part in getting us to this big day cannot be underestimated. We could not have attained this level without the magnificent backing of all our sponsors so thank you one and all and we trust that you will remain with us in 2010 when we again return to Division 1.
